Bingo Bango...

Mpearl1 No, no boys this is not your grandmothers bingo! There are two great options for the gays to go and use their daubers in a safe way. The Saloon and Brass Rail both offer a bingo night. The Brass Rail offers bingo night on Tuesday and the Saloon rolls the bingo balls on Wednesday. If you opt for the Saloon on Wednesday, make sure you get there right after work, as the cards go quickly and bar stools fill up quickly!

Typical prizes offered: videos of an adult nature (and these are NOT "R" rated), articles of clothing only to be worn in front of your signifigant other or free bar tabs!

The best thing about Bingo Bango is that the money raised goes to a local AIDS charity.

Get your daubers out gents, and check out the Saloon's or Brass Rail's Bingo Bango Nights....who would have ever thought bingo could be so fun!

Godspell as performed by NSYNC on Christ Crack!

Altarboyz_1 Prepare Ye for a theatrical event!  ALTAR BOYZ is a show that will "shep naches" (to translate for you goys "to bring pleasure or joy")!  It's staged as the final performance of the christian boy band Altar Boyz "Raise the Praise" tour but don't fret as you can still catch the Boyz at the Pantages theatre through December 31!

Just who are the Altar Boyz?  You've got Mathew, the leader of the boy band with beautiful arms.  Mark, the token meshuggina faygala (again translation:  crazy homosexual) choreographer of the group.  Luke, I guess he drives the bus.  Juan, the "Rico Suave" Papi hearthrob.  And Finally Abraham, the Jewish one (picture Beastie Boy with a fantastic voice & body)!Alterboyz_1

So...  that's who they are, now here are some tips to help you "Learn Your Lesson Well!"  1.  Don't Be Cheap!  Buy the best available tickets because you'll miss some of kitsch in the lyrics if you do.  2.  Again, DON'T BE CHEAP!  Go 2 or 3 times because like I said...  you'll miss alot the first 1 or 2 times!  3.  Come ready to "Get Jiggy Wit" the Boyz!  This isn't a performance of Jesus Christ Superstar...  it's the "Raise the Praise" tour.  Can I get an Amen!

And now it's time for My Favorites...

SongChurch Rulez!  If you've ever had the pleasure of attending Catholic Mass it'll make you giggle like a Catholic schoolgirl!

Confession:  Well... these are secret between the Altar Boyz, you and the Lord but of course it'll have something to do with Impure Thoughts!

Blaemire_01 Boychick:  Sorry Mark...  but my favorite from the band of boychicks is Abraham!  His singing and dancing makes me verklempt!  Plus...  there's just something about a boy in a yamika!

So, during this holiday season make one of your holiday wishes an evening with the Boyz!  You may just become an Atlarholic!  Maybe not, but at the very least you'll leaving proclaiming "I'm A...  Cath'lic!"

So as this former altar boy proclaims as I ride out of sight  "Merry Briss-Mass To ALL!"  ~love the Meshuggina Faygala Tim

Steam Heat!

This past weekend Tim and I where in Chicago.  We stayed at the lovely Hyatt right along the Chicago river.  Huge hotel...two towers...2500 rooms....Big Bar... Hard Drive...What can I say, a gay boys paradise!  Anyways, while I was in the shower and Tim was sleaping off his hangover from the night before, I remembered another time that we stayed at a Park Hyatt in Seattle.  The greatest thing about the Park Hyatt was the STEAM baths right in the hotel.  No, you didn't have to leave the hotel to find these baths, instead they where right in your bathroom! While I was standing in the shower in Chicago, I was also reminded of a few events going on this weekend.  Take a look below:

Header_steam First, we have STEAM on Friday night at the Bolt Underground.  I have to admit, Tim and I have not checked this event out yet.  But, if it is anything like the Foam Party or the Lights-Out Underwear Party, I'm sure this will be a pretty good time.  Don't worry about having to bring your own towel, as they provide them for you!  In addition to the towel they also have a free clothes check!

Chichi_1col Do you see what I see?  A drag queen, a drag queen with really hot elves ...elves as big as the sky!  Minnesota's own Queen of Porn is back for her annual DJ stint at the Bolt Underground.  Mrs. or Ms. or Miss. LaRue as I'm sure all of you know is originally from the Iron Range of Minnesota.  Matter of fact, she even went to school with  Kevin Mchale, of the Minnesota Timberwolves!  Not only does LaRue bring cute elf helpers, but she also dispenses via airborne DVD's, a fair amount of entertainment for your viewing pleasure at a later date.  Yes, the rumors are true that Tim was hit in the head by a flying LaRue DVD a number of years ago!  LaRue spins Saturday the 16th at the Bolt Underground.

Your hot and steamy boy for Chi Chi...Jayson!

Things in Texas Are Always Bigger!

Wow! It has been a very long time since we have posted something.  Yes, Tim and I are still around.  No fear boys!

Tprlogo The prompt for this post is an e-mail received earlier this week.  A Kurt from Texas contacted us, wondering what was going down in the city this weekend.  Now mind you, Kurt is a fine young gentleman my age less two years or five years less Tim's.  This boy is one TALL drink of water.  His myspace profile says 6'4".  And thats not AOL inches, thats the real deal!  Anyways, we hung out with him last night at the Saloon on Thursday Night and plan on meeting for Happy Hour in a short bit.  Good times were had by all.  When Tim and I left the Saloon on Thursday night, the bar was getting a view of some fine Texas grub!

To keep with the Southwest theme, here are a couple of fun and great places to check out.

Homemasaname2 Masa is a fairly new place on Nicolette Mall.  Located in the Target building.  I unfortunatley have not had the chance to check it out, but Tim said it is quite good.  They have an excellent outdoor patio that affords a great people watching experience.

Bar Abilene is in Uptown.  This place is well known for their fun Margaritas.  I would highly recommend becoming a part of the Margarita Club.  $25 up front, and you get a card with 10 free Margaritas.  Standard Margi costs between $6-$10 when you dont have the card.  I love a good deal!

Little Tijuana's is on Eat Street, A.K.A Nicolette Avenue.  Tim took me here one night some time ago.  Apparently some boy Tim was dating a long time ago took him here, so Tim thought it was a good idea to bring me as well.  I felt like I was going to a hand-me-down sort of restaurant.  It was like getting a used pair of cute pants from your cousin.  You really didn't want to to wear them, but they fit so damn well and showed off your best feature(s), so you wore them!  I digress.  Tijuana's is not very visually appealing upon entering, nor on the outside.  But don't turn around!  The food there is actually quite good, and it's very hipster'ish.  In all likely hood your waiter or waitress will have more piercings than you can count.  All in all a good, cheap eat with very large portions.  On your way home you may need to pick up some Imodium AD for the Mexican Hangover to come the next morning.

Jayson and Tim, off to rope some steers!

A Big Sunday for SIR!

Tyroneguthrie2_large What a big event coming up on Sunday for Sir Tyrone Guthrie (and no he's not called SIR because he's a leather daddy and the event I speak of isn't the annual twin cities gay pride parade)!  Seattleleatherdude I'm talking about the Grand Opening events at the new Guthrie Theatre.  The events begin at noon and go all the way through to 2am with a dance party (DJ might even be DJ Joe Dowling)!  The Guthrie is also a wonderful place to grab a quick bite to eat or even a cocktail at one of it's bars.  And, no trip to the new Guthrie would be complete without a walk out onto the phallic overlook!  Newdesign_large

When you see all the colors of the rainbow in the sky at 10:30 on sunday night...  no it's not for Gay Pride.  The fireworks at the Guthrie opening are supposed to be the largest in the state of Minnesota!

HAPPY PRIDE!

Rainbowflagcastrosf2005

Couple of crazy events going on tonight:

The    MinneapoliSchaumparties_bilder_04s Eagle/Bolt Underground are hosting Minneapolis's first foam party!  Don't forget to wear some cute briefs for the event boys!

  Schaumparties_bilder_02

For those of you that prefer foamy head over foamy bodies, the Eagle will have its outdoor beer tent up and running at 9 pm tonight.  Lots of fun with lots of shirtless hotties out and about! Check it out.

On the other end of town...

YTedeschi2ou can check out the  Uptown Pride Block Party, hosted by Bryant Lake Bowl.  BLB is located basically at Bryant Avenue and Lake Street.  Tina Sheleski goes on stage about 9:45 tonight.  I personally think she is the best female rocker that Minneapolis has got!  As such, there may be a few (hundreds) of the Lebanese at the event.  Don't worry, I don't think they bite or have cooties!

Not so flamboyant, Jayson

"Gap Between Intention & Effect"

13472 Do you ever look at someone and say to yourself "What were they thinking with that outfit, hat, makeup etc...?"  All you caddy homosexuals have, admit it!  After today, instead of asking that question I'm going to look deeper at that person.  Who are they?  Where do they come from?  Where have they been and where are they going?  What are their life experiences?  What has caused this "Gap Between Intention & Effect"?

My revelation has come since attending a pre-opening of the Walker Art Center's new exhibit Diane Arbus Revelations running June 17 - September 10.

"Diane Arbus (1923 – 1971) found most of her subjects in New York City and its environs during the 1950s and 1960s. Her portraits of couples, children, carnival performers, nudists, middle-class families, transvestites, people on the street, zealots, eccentrics, and celebrities explore the relationship between appearance and identity, illusion and belief, theater and reality." -SFMOMA

Aab Her photography is all in black & white.  Her photos thought provoking.  Her subjects straight from life!  The Walker Art Center's exhibit is the largest exhibit of Diane Arbus's work assembled with 3 sections of archival images from the artist's personal estate.  So this exibit is a must see if you are remotely interested in photography, post-war america, New York City, portraiture, people, families, transvestites, S&M, homosexuals, poor, middle-class, bourgeois, burlesque or simply American Rites, Manners & Customs (Diane's 1963 Guggenheim grant in which she she sought to depict a range of social ceremonies, including beauty pageants, games and competitions, costumes, parties, and the like. Arbus called these ceremonies "our symptoms and our moments. I want to save them, for what is ceremonious and curious and commonplace will be legendary"!Artwork_images_424065188_159374_dianearb

Forget about Memorial Day Weekend...

Most people traditionally feel that Memorial Day weekend is the official start of summer.  To me, it's the first annual outdoor festival with beer!  That festival happens to be Grand Old Day on Grand Avenue in St. Paul and this Sunday is the start of my summer!  Charlie_browns_in_the_grand_old_day_para I've been fake baking for over a month now, so my pasty white legs won't look like everyone else's!  Grand Old Day starts with a parade (which I can't say that I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying!)  There's something about clowns that just freak me out!  14gclownsintimessq5 Between 12-5pm is a street festival with beer, food, live music and some pretty damn good people watching!  Unfortunately this year there are no big name musical acts, but that's not going to stop me from enjoying my personal summer solstice!

love, tanned timmy

White Party...

Cuckoo12_1 or a bunch of homos dressed as Nurse Ratched at a midnight showing of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's NestThat was the feeling at last night's Krave party at Karma! However, the hot boys still flocked there like a gaggle of gay geese! GooseAnd as long as that continues, I'll continue attending. I just hope that next month's theme doesn't lead to everyone looking like they're showing cattle at the state fair! Cattle2

love, tim kraving color!
